Recipes for the Soul
What are life recipes? Life recipes are nuggets of wisdom and hope for everyday living in this crazy, upside-down world. Life is tough right now with the COVID-19 virus. I don't know about you, but I need all the help I can get today. Below you will find some tidbits that help me through hard times.
Are You Alone?
Family is considered to be the people that you grew up with - your father, mother, and siblings with whom you share a common bond. Through a close relationship with them, they are the ones who provide a safety net during difficult times. Yet there are many people who have experienced multiple traumas in their growing up years or great sorrow through the loss of family members, and therefore daily life can be painfully lonely. Jesus’ desire is to let you know that He is your family and is always there to provide comfort and a safety net in your time of need, and He reaches out to you as family and a friend today!
"While He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him. Someone said to Him, 'Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You.' But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, 'Who is My mother and who are My brothers?' And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, 'Behold My mother and My brothers!' For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother." Matt: 12:46-50

Faith in Times of Crisis
You may be in a pickle today with less than what you need to pay your bills, put food on the table, or keep up with your rent or mortgage, but faith in God moves mountains. You might not be a person of faith, but there is a loving Creator who desires for you to know Him as your Heavenly Father, so you can trust that He will move those mountains standing in your way to successful living and miraculous provision.
