Fresh Green Beans
Ingredients:
 •   2 pound of green beans, washed and snapped
•   1 teaspoon salt or to taste
•   1/2 teaspoon black pepper or to taste (I like lots of black pepper)
•   1 tablespoon olive oil or more if you like
•   1 tablespoon of butter or more if you like
•   (If you want old fashion green beans, put 1/2 pound salt pork in the pot for your fat and flavor instead of olive oil and butter. I like olive oil and butter myself - semi healthy.)

Directions:
In a heavy Dutch oven or large pot, combine the beans, salt, pepper, olive oil with enough water to cover. Over medium-high heat, bring beans to a boil and cover. Reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes or until tender. When ready to eat, add the butter if you dare. Makes 6 or 7 servings.
